SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Neighborhood

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it truly is alarmed with regards to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out sassa status into a superior variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA SRD services.

“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office dedicated to service the area on a daily basis. The service level designed for intervention activities a significant inflow of potential beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more methods to permit the servicing of all buyers and enhance usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
